CASE STUDY · KUBRIO

1,000 kids love to learn by making with AI.

That’s the goal at Kubrio, my other company — a company of one. It’s also the company that keeps my mind childish and creative. Here, everything is possible.

Kubrio is a subscription studio for kids aged 6 to 13. They pick a project on Monday — a comic, a short film, a playable game, a podcast — direct real AI to make it, and by Sunday it exists. The AI amplifies what the kid started. It does not do it for them.

AI is here to help me with everything — and because of that, one person can do so much more. I am the CEO, I am in the processes, and the agents are my helpers rather than my replacement.

Kubrio is not a ZeroCrew product or brand. It is a separate company, founded by the same person, run the same way.

THE GOAL

Kids loving it. That is the whole metric.

Kubrio does not have a revenue goal. I chose a different one on purpose: 1,000 kids who love to learn by making with AI. Not 1,000 signups. Loving it. That is a harder thing to fake and a slower thing to reach, and it is the only measure I trust for this company.

It changes what I ask for. The question I bring to the work is never “did the funnel convert” first — it is whether a kid finished something they wanted to show someone. A metric like that keeps a human in the seat, which is exactly why I picked it.

What I am building at Kubrio is an amazing learning experience for kids — one they actually love, not one their parents make them sit through. Everything I ask an agent to do here is downstream of that sentence.

EXAMPLES

AI helps me with everything. Examples.

Not one automation bolted onto a department. Four whole functions, operated day to day by agents working from written context, with me reviewing the output instead of producing it. Here is each one, as honestly as I can put it.

PRODUCT DESIGN

The studio itself

What a kid opens on Monday — the project, the flow, the shelf their finished work lands on. I set the direction once, in writing. The agents carry it into the actual surfaces, and I review what comes back rather than draw it myself.

PARTNERSHIPS

An AI that does partnerships

Kubrio does not run paid ads. An AI runs partnerships instead — finding the right people and communities to work with, reaching out, keeping every conversation moving. I step in when it is time to actually meet.

LEARNING DESIGN

What a week of projects teaches

How a week is shaped so a six-year-old and a thirteen-year-old both finish something real. I hold the standard. The agents build the weeks out against it, and I throw away the ones that feel like homework.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Parents, answered

Families write in about projects, coaching, billing, a kid who got stuck. Agents work the front line. I read the patterns instead of the queue — and the patterns are usually where I find what to fix next.

None of this needed a platform migration. It needed the company written down first — roles, processes, decisions — in a form an agent can read. That artifact is the whole foundation, and it is why so many AI pilots quietly stall: there was nothing for the AI to stand on.
