Do the entry and exit days count?
Yes. Under the standard calculation, the day you enter and the day you leave both count as full days, with no half-days for a late arrival or an early flight. Enter the dates exactly as you crossed the border.
Is this the official EU calculator?
No. It's an independent tool, not the European Commission's short-stay calculator. It runs the same day-counting rule for ordinary short stays, but it's a planning aid, not legal advice: a border officer has the final say on your entry or stay.
Does the Entry/Exit System change the rule?
No. The EU's Entry/Exit System records the entries and exits of non-EU short-stay travellers electronically instead of with passport stamps. It changes how a crossing is logged, not the 90/180 arithmetic.
